  • 2 cups of all purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon of sugar

  • ¾ teaspoons of salt

  • 3 teaspoons of olive oil

  • 6 ounces Cristobal brand salted cod fillets

  • 6 ounces shredded parmesian cheese

  • Fresh shredded basil

  • 6 ounces of shrimp

  • 2 ounces bleu cheese

Saltfish and Shrimp Pizza Recipe:

  1. To make fresh pizza dough, mix ¾ cup of warm water with one packet dry yeast. Once all the yeast is dissolved in the water, let the mixture stand for 5 minutes.

  2. Add 2 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 3 teaspoons of olive oil and mix thoroughly until a sticky ball of dough forms.

  3. Flour your countertop, roll up your sleeves, and knead the dough until smooth.

  4. Let the dough rise in a covered bowl for one hour. Once the dough has risen, flour your countertop again and roll the dough out into a large circle, then place on a pizza pan.

  5. Spread about 1 cup of marinera sauce and about 6 ounces of mozerella and parmesian cheeses over the dough, leaving room at the edged for the crust.

  6. Prepare 6 ounces of Cristobal brand salted cod fillets 24 hours in advance according to the specifications on the packaging. This includes soaking the fish in warm water overnight to reduce the salt content.

  7. Rinse fillet under water and brush lightly with olive oil. Turn stovetop to medium heat and cook each side of fillet for five minutes.

  8. Finely slice the fish and add to the pizza with 6 ounces of shrimp. Next, add a generous pinch of fresh basil, a generous pinch of black pepper, and about 2 ounces of bleu cheese.

  9. Bake the pizza at 450 degrees for 15 minutes until cheese is bubbling and crust is golden brown.

  10. Allow 10 minutes to sit and cool. Slice into eight pieces, and enjoy!
